1st Infantry Regiment (Greece) : ウィキペディア英語版 | 1st Infantry Regiment (Greece) The 1st Infantry Regiment ((ギリシア語:1ο Σύνταγμα Πεζικού, 1ο ΣΠ)) is an infantry unit of the Hellenic Army. It was formed in 1885 in Athens, and took part in the Greco-Turkish War of 1897, the Balkan Wars of 1912–13, the Asia Minor Campaign (1919–22), and the Greco-Italian War (1940–41). Disbanded after the German invasion of Greece, it was reformed after the end of World War II, being moved to Florina in 1952, where it remained until its disbandment in March 1998. The regiment was re-established in November 2013, again at Florina, after the 9th Infantry Brigade was moved to Kozani. == References ==
